It was a gorgeous evening on Friday for Sara and Ryan at the Magnolia Plantation Carriage House! With the sun shinning bright it was perfect weather for the Bride and Groom to say their “I do’s” under the big oak tree. It was a beautiful background with spanish moss hanging from the trees and the water behind them.
Following their reception was cocktail hour filled with all kinds of delicious Hors D’Oeuvres!
Pimento Cheese Topped Benne Seed Crackers
Caprese Skewers | John’s Island Tomatoes, Fresh Mozzarella and Basil with a Balsamic Reduction
Fried Green Tomatoes | Panko Encrusted and Topped with Pimento Cheese and Crumbled Bacon
They had three different stations for dinner including two tapas stations. Tapas are also known as small plates that are chef attended and served at bar height. It is great for presentation of the food! Check out their stations below.
Shrimp & Grits | Local Shrimp Simmered in a White Wine and Butter Sauce with Garlic, Bacon, Bell Pepper, Onion and Celery, Served on top of Parmesan Grits
Garlic and Herb Marinated Flank Steak Tapas | Served with Twice Baked Sour Cream and Chive Potatoes, Topped with Chimichurri Sauce
Gourmet Taco Tapas | Choice between three different tacos: Korean Friend Chicken Taco with Sweet Slaw, Crunchy Noodles and Queso Fresco, Blackened Mahi Mahi Taco with Corn, Watermelon, and Queso Fresco Salsa, or Black Bean and Sweet Potato Taco, All Served with a Side of Red Rice
The remainder of the night was filled with toasts, dancing and socializing among the guests! You could feel the love and excitement that their friends and families had for this happy couple all evening.
Congratulations Sara and Ryan! It was a pleasure working with you and we wish you the very best!
