The Carriage House at Magnolia Plantation couldn’t be any more charming in August! It’s the perfect time of season when the heat is dying down and Charleston is preparing for the mellow breeze of fall weather. The rustic character of this venue makes for a simple Lowcountry wedding that doesn’t take much to make it stand out. A touch of EventWorks Rentals and some minor draping from Lowcountry Entertainment transforms this venue and gives it an elegant vibe! You can’t even tell that they decided to use disposable plates and silverware for the evening…this is a great way to save some money on your big day and it looks just as good!
We started welcoming guests with our refreshing Sweet Sipping Station with Lemonade, Sweet Tea and Citrus Water. We recommend our Sipping Station for any event, any time of the year because it’s a good transition for family and friends between the ceremony and leading into the reception. We especially love these name cards for guests to take to their seats! Such a unique and fun way to add to your décor.
For dinner, our bride and groom selected our Southern favorite, Pecan Encrusted Chicken Breast with a Bourbon Maple Mustard Sauce and some pretty tasty accompaniments… Sautéed Green Beans, Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Fresh Baked Dinner Rolls and Herb Butter and yes, you guessed it, our Southern Mac and Cheese! If you’re looking for a budget friendly menu, having one solid protein and a few sides is always a compromising solution! They are filling and delicious!
Afterwards, Melissa and Tristyn cut the cake with smiles and cheers! We love this part of the night; the room is filled with an overwhelming warmth and everyone’s got a sweet tooth for some cake! We highly recommend ordering a Publix cake, like our newlyweds did. This is a great money saver and the cake is consistently good!
They ended the night with a sweet sparkler send-off that lit up the night sky. Congrats to our bride and groom! We wish you a lifetime of happiness and love.
