As always, the Carriage House at Magnolia Plantation is one of B. Gourmet’s favorite places to cater a wedding! This wedding was no exception, situated between romantic Spanish Moss draped oak trees alongside the bank of the Ashley River. EventWorks yet again provided incredible rentals, creating a stunning rustic-chic atmosphere between the antique wine barrels, soft camel and grey linen, and charming mahogany farmhouse style furnishings. The view alone was enough to take your breath away… Until of course you got a whiff of the meal that Chef Brooke prepared! Staying true to her Southern inspired craft, the wedding guests enjoyed several hors d’oeuvres to begin the evening, including Carolina Pulled Pork Wontons with Creamy Homemade Cole Slaw and Spicy Pickle Relish, Fried Green Tomatoes topped with Pimento Cheese and Crumbled Bacon, and Fried Chicken Topped Mini Waffle Bites. Is your mouth watering yet?

After guests mingled, nibbled on B. Gourmet’s signature hors d’oeuvres and enjoyed delicious cocktails from Squeeze Onsite, it was time to continue with the festivities and welcome our sweet bride and groom! Mirroring the social style of cocktail hour, our couple opted for our Tapas Style Dinner. Traditional Caesar Salads complete with House Made Croutons and Parmesan Crisps were passed around the party, while guests stopped into stations at their leisure. Tapas Style meals are becoming the new craze here in the Lowcountry! This style creates an interactive and social environment, while guests are able to try multiple full meals in smaller portions! In other words.. why just choose a seafood or beef entrée when you can have both? Our bride and groom decided on a Jumbo Lump Crab Cake Tapas Plate, complete with Roasted Asparagus and Lemon Dill Sauce, as well a crowd pleaser – Uptown Meat and Taters, Petite Filet Mignon is accompanied by Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Demi Glace.
After dinner and some beautiful speeches, the bride and groom danced the night away surrounded by their family and friends. The late Autumn air was full of love for this amazing couple! The evening ended with a sparkler send off, after which point the bride and groom exited their reception in a traditional limousine getaway!
Best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Marcom!
