Fall season, though busy, truly is our favorite time of year. We love when the weather gets a bit cooler, and the wedding season heats up with event after successful event. This particular reception was unique.. We received a call from this bride’s planner, frantic that her wedding 6 weeks away was in trouble.. Her caterer had gone out of business, and she had only a few weeks to figure out a new menu with a new company, and pull off the whole reception! The stars aligned, because the Saturday of this bride’s wedding was the only Saturday of the entire season that we were not fully booked already.
We loved helping this bride achieve the wedding she had always dreamed of! While not our normal style of service, this bride loved the idea of a family style dinner – guests passing food to one another had a cozy feeling that she loved! We thought the reception could not have gone any better, as Margaret McKenzie, her planner, pulled off the last minute vendor change flawlessly.
The reception area was designed with a light, bright effortless décor scheme that we felt perfectly complimented the venue. Old Wide Awake Plantation exemplifies Southern class and charm at it’s finest, and we never can get enough of working there.
Best wishes to L + L!
