Our Newlyweds at Old Wide Awake Plantation this past week did not mess around! Our savvy bride took charge being her own planner and she knew exactly how to put together a drop dead gorgeous wedding! You go Kellie! The venue was head-to-toe dressed for success…light blue patterned linens, natural wooden chairs, and spring flowers caught our attention at every passing glance!
The new Mr. & Mrs. invited their guests to snack on our Lowcountry Garden Bistro Display during cocktail hour on the upstairs, wraparound patio. The Bistro Display was a perfect light touch before dinner with assortments of crackers, house-made dips, fresh local vegetables and juicy fruits for a palate and visually pleasing display!
Following cocktail hour, family and friends joined together to watch the couple’s first dances and toasts. In the meantime, our B. Gourmet staff prepared their dinner stations, including our B. Gourmet Rocks Glass Salads with candied pecans, fresh strawberries, goat cheese crumbles and rich balsamic vinaigrette alongside our Garlic, Herb and Balsamic Marinated Flank Steak with Dijon Cream and Horseradish Cream… And let’s not forget our famous Mac & Cheese Station with assorted toppings!
Our bride and groom also mixed it up with a delicious Tapas Station! Guests lined up to try our Pecan Encrusted Chicken Breast with a Bourbon Maple Mustard Sauce, Creamy Smashed Potatoes and Green Beans Sautéed with Bacon and Onion!
Guests rushed up to fill their plate and kept coming for more…can you blame them!?
After everyone danced the night away, it was soon time to send them off into the night. Family & friends lined up to end the night with a snazzy sparkler send-off which looked nothing short of amazing with the glow of the pond and the lit Old Wide Awake House in the back. Congratulations from all of us here at B. Gourmet!
